Description:
ThePurpose of this activity is to improve employment and entrepreneurshipopportunities for youth in Kenya, with a focus on the blue and green economysectors. This initiative is part of the National Youth Opportunity and TowardsAdvancement (NYOTA) project. This Terms of Reference (ToR) outlines therequirements for a consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive landscapeanalysis of social enterprises (SEs) in Kenya, followed by due diligence onselected SEs to assess their suitability for a Results-Based Financing (RBF)program. The project seeks to identify SEs with scalable business models thatcan effectively create employment for youth, particularly in remote andunderserved areas. The consulting firm will evaluate SE performance, managementcapabilities, and operational systems, while also determining their needs forsuccessful RBF program participation. This work will inform the design andimplementation of the NYOTA project's SE component, ultimately contributing tosocio-economic growth and environmental sustainability in Kenya through youthempowerment and job creation.
