• The Santiago Network Secretariat is pleased to announce this call for proposals to catalyze technical assistance from organizations, bodies, networks and experts (OBNEs) in response to a request from the Republic of Kenya. The technical assistance aims to strengthen Kenya's capacities to assess economic and non-economic loss and damage across sectors, as well as support planning and decision-making in the medium-term. Specifically, the objectives are to conduct a robust and comprehensive assessment of loss and damage for the period of 2015 to 2025 and to develop climate-related loss and damage scenarios up to 2035, in consultation with Loss and Damage Kenya technical working group and relevant stakeholders. The assessment will identify, quantify, and document the impacts to inform national policy, planning, and investment strategies/interventions for averting, minimizing, and addressing future loss and damage. By comprehensively assessing losses and damages across all sectors, the technical assistance will contribute to achieving national goals and support the government's efforts to address the widespread climate impacts it is facing currently and into the future.
